GUARANTEED BENEFITS IN BELGIUM AND IN 35 EUROPEAN COUNTRIES TO THE BENEFICIARIES OF THE BREAKDOWN SERVICE
1. DEFINITIONS
1.1 Touring
For the guaranteed services in Belgium, "Touring" refers to the non-profit association Royal Belgian Touring Club (TCB) (VAT no. BE 0403.471). 597), having its registered office in Belgium, rue de la Loi/Wetstraat 44, 1040 Brussels, which has entrusted the performance of part of the breakdown, towing and replacement vehicle services in Belgium to the limited liability company Touring, whose registered office is also located at rue de la Loi/Wetstraat 44, 1040 Brussels, Belgium, VAT BE 0403,471,401, RPR Brussels.
1.2 Beneficiaries
It is agreed that when calling to request a breakdown service, the beneficiary will be asked to state his identity (surname, first name) as well as the registration plate of the vehicle for which he is requesting assistance.

1.3 Covered vehicle
A covered vehicle is any new or second-hand vehicle (car, mixed car, van, minibus, mobile home and motorbike with a cylinder capacity of more than 50cc) of any make, whose laden weight does not exceed 3.5 tonnes and whose registration plate number has been provided by TOTAL in Touring as part of the TOTAL AUTO CARE service. The registration plate number must be in conformity with the registration certificate of the designated vehicle, otherwise it will not be considered as a covered vehicle.
A caravan or trailer of less than 1.5 tonnes laden and towed by the covered vehicle at the time of the incident is also considered to be a covered vehicle.
1.4 Incident
An incident is considered to be any failure of the mechanical, electrical or electronic components of the covered vehicle, which causes it to be immobilised at home or on the public highway or which renders it unfit to travel in reasonable conditions of safety.
Coverage is also provided in the following cases: driving accident, tyre incident, fuel breakdown, breakdown due to inadequate fuel for the vehicle's intended use, bogging down, vandalism, theft or attempted theft of the vehicle or vehicle parts, vehicle immobilised by loss or theft of a key or key locked inside the vehicle.
The following are not considered as incidents: defects due to apparent non-compliance with the maintenance schedule provided by the manufacturer, immobilisation of the covered vehicle by the security services, seizure of the vehicle or any other legal immobilisation, immobilisation by use of the vehicle on difficult terrain (crosses in woods, meadows, etc.). The immobilisation of the vehicle in the event of natural disasters such as floods, earthquakes, hail (or any other climatic disaster) or immobilisation of the vehicle in a garage or bodyshop.
Also not considered as incidents are events occurring when the driver is not in a condition to drive, is unable to carry out the manoeuvres incumbent on him or is under the influence of alcohol, narcotics or drugs.
